Wills and Probate Solicitor

Job Responsibilities: As a Wills and Probate Solicitor, you will be responsible for the following:

1. Drafting and reviewing wills, trusts, and other estate planning documents.
2. Assisting clients in creating comprehensive estate plans that align with their specific goals and preferences.
3. Advising clients on matters related to inheritance tax, wealth preservation, and asset distribution.
4. Handling the administration of estates, including obtaining grants of probate, managing assets, and resolving complex legal issues.
5. Representing clients in probate disputes, will contests, and other contentious matters.
6. Conducting legal research and staying up-to-date with changes in relevant legislation and case law.
7. Providing high-quality legal advice to clients, ensuring their best interests are always protected.
8. Maintaining accurate and detailed client records, adhering to confidentiality and data protection regulations.

Qualifications and Requirements: To be considered for this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications and skills:

1. Qualified solicitor with a strong background in wills and probate law. Our client is ideally seeking a solicitor with at least 3yrs PQE, but any candidate with suitable experience will be considered.
2. Minimum 3 years of experience practicing in the field of wills and probate.
3. Thorough knowledge of estate planning, inheritance law, and the probate process.
4. Excellent drafting and analytical skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
6. Proven track record of handling complex wills and probate cases efficiently and effectively.
7. Sound judgment and the ability to provide practical and commercially focused advice.
8. Ability to work independently, managing a caseload while meeting deadlines.
9. Professional demeanor and a commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards.
10. Proficiency in legal research and the use of relevant software and databases.
