Job Responsibilities: As a Wills and Probate Solicitor, you will be responsible for the following:
- Drafting and reviewing wills, trusts, and other estate planning documents.
- Assisting clients in creating comprehensive estate plans that align with their specific goals and preferences.
- Advising clients on matters related to inheritance tax, wealth preservation, and asset distribution.
- Handling the administration of estates, including obtaining grants of probate, managing assets, and resolving complex legal issues.
- Representing clients in probate disputes, will contests, and other contentious matters.
- Conducting legal research and staying up-to-date with changes in relevant legislation and case law.
- Providing high-quality legal advice to clients, ensuring their best interests are always protected.
- Maintaining accurate and detailed client records, adhering to confidentiality and data protection regulations.
Qualifications and Requirements: To be considered for this role, candidates should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Qualified solicitor with a strong background in wills and probate law. Our client is ideally seeking a solicitor with at least 3yrs PQE, but any candidate with suitable experience will be considered.
- Minimum 3 years of experience practicing in the field of wills and probate.
- Thorough knowledge of estate planning, inheritance law, and the probate process.
- Excellent drafting and analytical skills, with meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to build rapport with clients and colleagues.
- Proven track record of handling complex wills and probate cases efficiently and effectively.
- Sound judgment and the ability to provide practical and commercially focused advice.
- Ability to work independently, managing a caseload while meeting deadlines.
- Professional demeanor and a commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards.
- Proficiency in legal research and the use of relevant software and databases.
