The Role:
We are in search of a trusts lawyer with 1 to 5 years of experience, preferably with a STEP qualification or a willingness to pursue one.

The ideal candidate will have a genuine passion for trusts and a drive to enhance their skills and knowledge in this area. Proficiency in various trust structures, their benefits, and taxation is essential.

Ideally, you will possess experience in managing trust matters throughout their lifecycle, including setup, administration, and termination, with expertise in drafting relevant trust deeds at each stage.

While supervision and mentoring will be available, the ability to work independently, especially in reviewing work and managing cases, is crucial.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Preparation of Deeds of Retirement and Appointment of Trustees
  • Drafting Deeds of Appointment of trust assets from Discretionary Trusts
  • Handling the setup of trusts, including drafting relevant documentation and managing asset transfers
  • Preparation of Declarations of Trust to define beneficial interests in property
  • Managing trust registration with HMRC on the Trust Registration Service
  • Providing advice on the effect and taxation of Bare Trusts, Life interest Trusts, and Discretionary Trusts to both trustees and beneficiaries
