The Department
Our Private Client Advisory team is one of the largest in the East of England, with over 60 specialist lawyers, including 15 partners. We provide trusted legal advice on a wide range of complex matters such as estate planning, tax, trust, and probate to individuals, families, trustees, and businesses both domestically and internationally. Our collaborative approach extends to our work with the Agricultural team, advising farming families and landed estates on succession and tax planning.
Purpose of the Role
Themis Recruit are seeking a motivated solicitor to join their growing Private Client Advisory team. The role involves assisting with complex estate planning, trust and will management, and probate matters, while building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and other advisers. You will work closely with senior members of the team, gaining exposure to a variety of high-quality legal work and contributing to the team’s business development efforts.
Key Responsibilities

Client Interaction: Manage direct communication with clients, their advisers, and intermediaries, ensuring timely and high-quality advice.

Legal Drafting: Draft legal documents, including wills, trust deeds, correspondence, and advice notes tailored to the client’s needs.

File Management: Manage caseloads effectively, ensuring files are run efficiently and within deadlines.

Business Development: Contribute to the growth of the department by identifying new business opportunities and maintaining existing relationships.

Support and Collaboration: Assist senior members of the team on more complex matters while actively collaborating across departments.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for a solicitor with 2-4 years PQE who has the following attributes:

Attention to Detail: Ability to produce consistently high-quality documentation and work, meeting client deadlines.

Strong Communication Skills: Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to engage clients and colleagues at all levels.

Technical Competence: Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and legal research tools.

Organisational Skills: Ability to prioritize tasks effectively, make decisions, and work under pressure when needed.
