They serve a wide range of clients, including providers, commissioners, regulators, and policymakers. They provide quick, actionable advice across various services, ensuring our clients receive knowledgeable, practical support.
The Role
Themis Recruit are seeking a dynamic Solicitor to join our clients national Employment team. This role will provide the opportunity to gain experience in both contentious and non-contentious employment law, with a focus on the healthcare sector. You will have a hands-on role in a variety of employment matters and play an integral part in delivering high-quality legal services to our clients.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting with Employment Tribunal litigation from start to finish
- Offering day-to-day employment law advice to clients
- Supporting business development efforts, including networking, writing blogs, and attending events
- Advising on grievances, disciplinary procedures, whistleblowing, discrimination, TUPE transfers, and reorganizations
- Collaborating with third parties, other counsel, and the opposing side as needed
Skills and Competencies
- Minimum 1-3 years PQE with a focus on employment law, preferably with an interest in the healthcare sector
- Strong experience in managing Employment Tribunal litigation and day-to-day case management
- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with the ability to interact with clients and colleagues at all levels
- Experience with the NHS is desirable but not essential
- A flexible, diligent, and enthusiastic approach, with a quick learning ability
- Ability to manage a varied caseload efficiently
