Position: Solicitor – Serious Injury Team

Experience Level: Incredibly flexible. Solicitor, Cilex, qualified by experience.

Location: Remote and 4 day week with no loss of earnings.

Overview:

Our client, a leading regional law firm, is seeking a highly motivated and ambitious solicitor to join their expanding Serious Injury Team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in handling high-value catastrophic injury files stemming from road traffic accidents, workplace incidents, and public occurrences both in the UK and abroad. In addition to managing a challenging caseload, the candidate will take a lead in driving business development initiatives alongside the firm’s Head of Department.

The most important aspect of the role is for the successsful candidate to be able to work independently, progress cases, and work to reasonable targets.

Responsibilities:

  1. Manage and handle a caseload of high-value catastrophic injury files arising from various incidents.
  2. Provide legal advice and representation to clients involved in serious injury cases.
  3. Collaborate with the firm’s Head of Department in driving business development projects to ensure sustained growth.
  4. Participate in the development and implementation of strategic initiatives to enhance the department’s market presence.
  5. Conduct legal research and stay updated on relevant legislation and case law.
  6. Represent clients in court proceedings and other dispute resolution mechanisms.

Requirements:

  1. Qualified solicitor with 0-3 years PQE/CILEX, or qualified by experience.
  2. Strong background in serious injury cases, particularly those related to road traffic accidents and workplace incidents.
  3. Excellent legal research, analytical, and drafting skills.
  4. Proven track record in handling high-value catastrophic injury files.
  5. Exceptional communication and client management skills.
  6. Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Preferred Skills:

  1. Multilingual abilities, especially in Eastern European languages is highly advantageous.
  2. Business development experience.
  3. Familiarity with technology and its integration into legal practice.
