Our client, a leading regional firm with offices scattered across Yorkshire and London, are seeking an accomplished Catastrophic Injury Solicitor, with a specialised focus on brain injuries. The ideal candidate will have a minimum 10 years’ PQE, a proven track record of successfully handling such cases, and will have a strong understanding of the emotional, medical and legal aspects involved in cases of this nature. The location for this role is flexible, but the successful candidate will be required to commute to their Doncaster office twice weekly and travel across Yorkshire and beyond, catering to clients needs and industry engagements.
Key Responsibilities:

• Manage brain injury cases comprehensively, offering unparalleled legal support and empathy.

• Collaborate with the team to prioritise client rehabilitation and efficient case management.

• Maintain transparent communication with clients, families, and stakeholders to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Customize case strategies to address the unique needs of each claimant.

• Coordinate extensive documentation and expert reports to present each client’s narrative effectively.

• Work closely with seasoned counsel to ensure stellar client representation.

• Employ ADR techniques to maximize settlements while preparing cases for trial if required.

• Ensure judicious cost management across all cases.

• Stay abreast of pertinent personal injury law developments, particularly in the realm of brain injury.

• Contribute significantly to team-wide marketing and development initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Proven track record of successfully managing brain injury cases, from start to finish, including within court proceedings and Joint Settlement Meetings.
  • A passion for ensuring early and full rehabilitation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, utilising a variety of methods, with the ability to empathise with clients patiently and effectively advocate on their behalf.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with meticulous attention to detail and the ability to formulate case strategies and tactics.
  • Acumen around issues of costs and disbursements
  • A commitment to upholding the highest standards of client care, professionalism, and ethics.
  • An interest in understanding and developing team systems and processes.
  • Experience and interest in marketing and business development in the area of brain injury
