Our client, a specialist law firm renowned for their expertise in Catastrophic Injury are seeking a Serious Injury Solicitor to join their busy and expanding Serious Injury Department. The successful candidate will be working within an expanding Multi-Track department and dealing with complex serious injury claims from the initial stages through to settlement. The cases will include traumatic head, brain, spinal cord injury, polytrauma and loss of limbs with some of the higher value claims reaching in excess of £1m. The successful candidate can work from Cardiff, London or Southampton.
In these roles, you will engage directly with clients, their families, and healthcare professionals to facilitate the best possible rehabilitation and achieve favourable claim settlements. While knowledge of the Mental Capacity Act and its guiding principles is advantageous, it is not mandatory, as specialized training in this area will be provided.

- Manage a caseload of catastrophic injury cases, ensuring high-quality legal advice and representation.
- Conduct thorough investigations, assess liability, and provide sound legal opinions to clients.
- Collaborate with medical experts, barristers, and other relevant parties to build strong cases.
- Negotiate settlements, participate in mediation, and represent clients in court when necessary.
- Keep up-to-date with legal developments, case law, and legislation relating to catastrophic injury claims.
- Maintain accurate and detailed case files, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and procedures.
- Provide exceptional client service, demonstrating empathy, professionalism, and effective communication throughout the process.
- Contribute to business development activities, networking, and raising the firm’s profile within the field.
