Themis Recruit is instructed on a senior appointment within our clients specialist Serious Injury practice, a claimant-only firm with a well-established reputation for handling complex, high-value injury claims across England and Wales.

This is a strategic hire for an experienced Serious Injury lawyer operating at Grade A or equivalent, seeking an environment designed to support technically demanding, life-changing litigation — not volume-driven caseloads.


The Opportunity

You will take ownership of a portfolio of complex Serious Injury claims, predominantly RTA-based, typically valued from £150,000 to multi-million-pound outcomes.

Your remit will include:

  • Leading case strategy from inception to resolution, covering liability, quantum, rehabilitation and settlement

  • Securing early interim payments and rehabilitation funding to protect client stability

  • Working closely with medical experts, case managers, counsel, care experts, architects and financial advisers to build robust, evidence-led claims

  • Exercising independent professional judgement within a collaborative, multi-disciplinary framework

  • Supervising and mentoring Assistant Fee Earners and Paralegals, ensuring appropriate delegation and quality control

Caseloads are structured to allow sustained senior focus on complex matters, giving you the time and autonomy required to achieve the right long-term outcomes for clients and their families.


About You

To be considered, you will demonstrate:

  • Qualification as a Solicitor or CILEX Fellow with sufficient experience to command Grade A charging rates (8+ years PQE), or equivalent senior experience (typically 14+ years)

  • A proven track record as lead file handler on high-value Serious Injury matters involving complex liability and quantum issues

  • Strong litigation capability and working knowledge of court procedure

  • Consistently high standards of client care in sensitive, life-altering claims

  • Experience supervising or mentoring junior colleagues

  • The professional credibility to represent the firm externally within the Serious Injury sector
