The Role
We are seeking a Senior Associate to join our clients Real Estate Disputes team in our London office. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced solicitor to join a dynamic and supportive team, with a focus on residential property litigation, particularly issues arising from the Building Safety Act 2022.
The team advises a wide range of clients including:

Commercial landlords and tenants

Property investors and developers
-
Residential landlords (including ground rent portfolios)

Social housing organisations
-
Private individuals
You will handle a varied caseload and benefit from excellent professional development support, including knowledge lawyers and dedicated administrative staff.
Key Responsibilities

Advise on residential property disputes, particularly:
-
Building Safety Act 2022 matters (Part 4, Part 5, Schedule 8)
-
Principal Accountable Person responsibilities
-
Service charge challenges and enforcement
-
Remediation and Remediation Contribution Orders
-
Local Authority Enforcement Notices
-
Government grant funding for cladding and wall remediation
-

Handle general residential disputes:
-
Section 27A and Section 20 LTA applications
-
Breach of covenant proceedings
-
Easements and restrictive covenant enforcement
-

Provide transactional support where needed
-
Opportunity to contribute to other practice areas and strategic projects
Candidate Requirements
Essential Experience:
-
Strong experience in residential property litigation
-
In-depth knowledge of the Building Safety Act 2022
-
Confident advising on tribunal and court proceedings
-
Practical experience with service charge and leasehold matters
-
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Desirable:

Previous experience acting for social housing providers

Exposure to related commercial property disputes

Interest in mentoring junior team members
