Themis Recruit are seeking an experienced Senior Associate to join our clients specialised Court of Protection Team in Southampton. About The Role:

Our clients dedicated team handles all aspects of Court of Protection work, encompassing property and affairs management, and community care for clients who have received compensation through personal injury or medical negligence claims. As a Senior Associate, you will manage a diverse caseload of complex matters, upholding the standards of care and support for which our clients team is renowned.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate within a multi-disciplinary team to achieve optimal outcomes for clients, taking the lead on your caseload while providing support to senior fee-earners as needed.
  • Manage client relationships, ensuring the maintenance of our highly attentive and customer-focused approach.
  • Contribute to coaching and mentoring less experienced team members, including Solicitors, Legal Executives, Trainees, and Paralegals.

Requirements:

  • A Senior lawyer with previous experience managing a varied caseload of Court of Protection matters (7+ PQE)
  • Genuine passion for delivering excellent client care and possess the drive for continuous learning and improvement.
  • Familiarity with time recording and the responsibility of meeting annual fee targets.
  • Engaging, empathetic, and friendly communication style, with the ability to interact confidently with vulnerable clients and their families.
  • Creative problem-solving skills, with a willingness to support team members.
  • Experience in, or an interest in, supervising and providing ongoing training and development for less-experienced team members.
