Overview: Our client is a renowned firm specialising exclusively in clinical negligence. We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Associate Clinical Negligence Solicitor to join our committed and dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of complex and high-value clinical negligence claims from inception to resolution.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into claims, including obtaining and reviewing medical records, instructing medical experts, and liaising with clients and healthcare providers.
  • Draft legal documents, including letters of claim, particulars of claim, witness statements, and schedules of loss.
  • Negotiate settlements and represent clients in court proceedings where necessary.
  • Provide high-quality legal advice to clients, maintaining excellent client care and ensuring clear communication throughout the claims process.
  • Supervise and mentor junior solicitors and support staff, providing guidance and support to ensure the development of their skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to the firm’s business development activities, including networking, attending industry events, and contributing to marketing initiatives.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory and professional requirements, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of clinical negligence law and practice.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A qualified solicitor with a minimum of 9 years’ PQE in clinical negligence.
  • Proven track record of handling complex and high-value clinical negligence claims.
  • Strong knowledge of relevant legal principles, procedures, and medical terminology.
  • Excellent analytical, drafting, and negotiation skills.
  • Experience in supervising and mentoring junior team members.
  • Strong client care skills with the ability to manage client expectations effectively.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing a busy and varied caseload.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous professional development.
