Themis Recruit are pleased to share an exciting opportunity to join our clients distinguished Clinical Negligence and Personal Injury team, recognised by the Chambers and Legal 500. Due to continued growth, our client is now seeking a Senior Associate to support their partners in delivering expert advice to their clients, with this role being seen as integral to the department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Client Advising: Provide expert advice on complex and high-value clinical negligence claims (approximately 80% of the workload) and personal injury claims (20%).
- Case Management: Handle cases involving liability, causation, and quantum issues, ensuring adherence to procedural and funding guidelines.
- Team Leadership: Manage junior team members, delegating tasks as necessary.
- Client Interaction: Attend client meetings and counsel conferences to provide comprehensive support and advice.
- Relationship Building: Develop and maintain strong working relationships within the firm and with clients.
- Legal Research: Utilize legal databases, textbooks, and other resources to research points of law and factual issues.
- Document Management: Oversee general case and document management tasks.
- Marketing Contributions: Participate in the department’s and firm’s marketing initiatives.
- Referral Development: Identify and cultivate new potential referral sources, while maintaining and strengthening relationships with existing referrers to enhance the department’s and firm’s profile.
- Professional Responsibility: Ensure compliance with the Solicitors Regulation Authority Code of Conduct, and maintain high standards in legal work, administration, and financial performance.
Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum of 6 years post-qualification experience (PQE) in clinical negligence.
- Skills: Strong analytical, management, and communication skills.
