Themis Recruit is looking to appoint a Senior Associate into their clients highly regarded Clinical Negligence & Serious Injury team in Liverpool.

This is a standout opportunity for an experienced claimant clinical negligence lawyer seeking high-quality, complex work within a genuinely supportive, purpose-led firm. The team is known for handling life-changing cases with compassion, clarity and technical excellence, offering exposure to high-value and catastrophic injury matters alongside autonomy and clear progression.

The Role

  • Manage a varied caseload of claimant clinical negligence matters, from lower-value claims to complex, high-value litigation

  • Lead on strategy across liability, causation and quantum with significant autonomy

  • Act on serious injury and catastrophic harm cases

  • Supervise and mentor junior solicitors, trainees and paralegals

  • Delegate effectively and support team development

  • Play an active role in business development and referrer relationship management

  • Contribute to marketing initiatives, media engagement, thought leadership and profile-raising activities

  • Support the continued growth and reputation of the team

About You

  • Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales)

  • 7+ years’ PQE in claimant Clinical Negligence

  • Confident managing complex matters independently

  • Strong relationship management skills with a compassionate, client-focused approach

  • Highly organised with excellent technical attention to detail

  • Experience supporting business development initiatives

  • Exposure to media or public-facing activity desirable

  • Previous supervision experience advantageous

  • A collaborative, team-oriented mindset
