Our client one of the UK’s leading litigation-only law firms, are seeking an experienced Senior Associate to join their dynamic Catastrophic Injury department. Job Description:

As a Senior Associate within their Personal Injury department, you will play a crucial role in managing and representing clients who have sustained severe injuries, particularly those related to brain and spinal cord trauma. You will work closely with our clients experienced legal team to provide exceptional legal counsel, support, and advocacy to their clients throughout the claims process.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Case Management: Handle a caseload of complex catastrophic injury cases, ensuring that clients receive the highest level of legal representation and support.
  2. Legal Expertise: Utilise your in-depth knowledge of personal injury law, with a focus on brain and spinal cord injuries, to build strong cases and advocate effectively for clients.
  3. Client Advocacy: Act as a dedicated advocate for clients, representing their interests in negotiations, mediations, and court proceedings.
  4. Business Development: Proactively engage in business development activities to attract new clients and expand the firm’s catastrophic injury practice.
  5. Client Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong client relationships by providing regular updates, demonstrating empathy, and delivering exceptional service.
  6. Legal Research: Stay up-to-date with the latest legal developments and precedents related to catastrophic injury claims.
  7. Team Collaboration: Collaborate with junior associates, paralegals, and support staff to ensure efficient case management and client satisfaction.
  8. Compliance: Ensure all legal work complies with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards.

Qualifications:

  1. Qualified Solicitor: You must be a qualified solicitor, ideally with a minimum of 8 years PQE.
  2. Catastrophic Injury Experience: Demonstrable experience in handling catastrophic injury cases, with a focus on brain and spinal cord injuries.
  3. Client-Centric: A strong commitment to providing excellent client service, with the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
  4. Business Development: Proven track record of actively engaging in business development activities within the legal industry.
  5. Legal Expertise: In-depth knowledge of personal injury law, including relevant case law, statutes, and regulations.
  6. Advocacy Skills: Strong negotiation and advocacy skills, with the ability to represent clients effectively in various legal settings.
  7. Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.
