Due to continued growth, Themis Recruit are now seeking a talented and motivated Public Law Care Solicitor to join their dynamic Family Law team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a supportive environment with a team of experts in family law.
Key Responsibilities:

Handle a caseload of public law children’s cases with confidence and expertise.

Provide excellent legal advice to clients in matters concerning public law children’s issues.

Represent clients in Court as an advocate, presenting cases in a clear and effective manner.

Manage a variety of cases, including public and private law family work, ensuring the best outcomes for clients.

Work closely with the team to meet deadlines and maintain high standards of service.
Requirements:

Experience: 2-4 years PQE in family law, with a strong focus on public law children’s cases. Prior advocacy experience is highly desirable.

Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, the court, and other stakeholders.

Court Advocacy: Confident advocate with experience in County Court and Family Proceedings Courts.

Work Ethic: Ability to manage a busy caseload, prioritize tasks effectively, and work under tight deadlines.

IT Skills: Proficient in using IT systems for case management, document production, and learning new software as needed.

Teamwork: Ability to work well within a team and contribute to the firm’s success.

Commitment: A long-term commitment to a career in legal practice, particularly in a mixed legal aid/private practice environment.
Desirable Qualifications:

Member of the Law Society Family or Children Panel.

Ability or willingness to become a supervisor in the next 12 months in the family law category.

A client following or the ability to generate new business and referrals for the firm.
