The Private Wealth Team:

Based in Guildford, our clients Private Wealth Team is a recognised leader in the field, offering expert legal advice to high-net-worth individuals (with assets ranging from £5m-£20m). Their team provides a broad range of services, including Will preparation, estate administration, succession planning, Inheritance Tax and Capital Gains Tax planning, and the creation and winding up of trusts.


The Role:

As an Associate in our Private Wealth team, you will manage your own caseload of private client matters, ensuring clients receive expert advice and developing strong, trusted relationships. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

  • Advising clients on a wide range of private wealth matters, including estate planning, tax planning, and the administration of estates.

  • Managing complex cases with a focus on providing tailored solutions.

  • Contributing to the growth of the department by supporting junior colleagues and trainees.

  • Engaging in business development and marketing activities to further the team’s reach.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Qualified Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive with significant experience in Private Wealth/Private Client law (ideally 4-7 years of experience).

  • Proven ability to manage a varied caseload independently, demonstrating expertise and reliability.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, especially during emotionally challenging times.

  • Interest in, or experience with, marketing and business development activities.

  • A team-oriented individual with a passion for providing exceptional service and helping clients achieve their goals.

  • A flexible approach to work, with an openness to hybrid working options.
