Role Overview
As a Private Client Associate, you will engage directly with clients, offering comprehensive tax and estate planning services. Your responsibilities will include advising on a broad spectrum of tax matters, managing client files, and collaborating with various departments to meet client needs effectively. You will have the opportunity to develop your expertise in UK and international tax law with support from experienced partners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide tailored tax advice and planning solutions for both UK and international clients.
  • Manage client files from inception to completion, including quoting, updating clients, and billing.
  • Liaise with intermediaries, such as bankers, financial advisers, and trustees, on behalf of clients.
  • Draft bespoke deeds, agreements, and wills, and conduct research in tax and trusts law.
  • Support other departments (real estate, corporate, litigation, and finance) with private client advice.
  • Engage directly with clients, taking primary responsibility for cases or specific tasks.
  • Meet all financial targets and assist in business development and marketing initiatives.
  • Supervise junior team members, including paralegals and trainees, as needed.
  • Stay updated with legal developments, attend training sessions, and contribute to departmental training.

Ideal Candidate Profile
We are seeking a talented lawyer with a strong commercial acumen to manage our HNW and UHNW client base. The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications and attributes:

  • Solicitor qualification in England & Wales (or equivalent) with a minimum of 3 years PQE in a tax or international private client team.
  • Relevant qualifications (ATT, CTA, or STEP) or willingness to pursue these.
  • Proven track record of excellent client care and direct client interaction.
  • Enthusiasm for marketing and business development initiatives.
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to thrive in a diverse and inclusive team environment.
  • Strong communication skills and a proactive approach to building client relationships.
