The Opportunity
Themis Recruit are looking for an ambitious and experienced solicitor (minimum 10 years’ PQE) to join their market-leading Housing Management & Property Litigation team as a Partner. This is an exciting leadership opportunity for someone ready to take the next step in their career, whether or not you currently hold the title of Partner.
You will lead and grow your own sub-team within our clients nationally recognised department, advise on a wide range of housing and property litigation matters, and play an integral role in shaping the team’s strategic development.
About the Team
With over 85 members, our clients Housing Management & Property Litigation team is among the largest in the country. Recognised by Legal 500 for its depth and strength, the team acts for a wide variety of clients including social housing providers, local authorities, private landlords, developers, care providers and investment funds.
They handle both contentious and non-contentious matters and are known for dealing with the full spectrum of issues—from standard cases to complex, novel legal challenges.
Key Responsibilities

Lead, manage and grow a sub-team within the wider Housing Management & Property Litigation group.

Provide legal advice across all areas of housing management and property litigation.

Drive business development initiatives, including client networking, public speaking, article writing, training sessions, and promoting the firm via social media and other platforms.

Deliver clear, pragmatic and commercially focused legal advice.

Manage client relationships, ensuring expectations are met and outcomes delivered efficiently.

Handle a diverse caseload, including complex and high-value matters.

Supervise, mentor and support junior lawyers and paralegals.

Contribute to the team’s financial success through accurate time recording, billing, and fee collection.

Ensure compliance with firm policies, procedures, the Solicitors’ Accounts Rules, and Lexcel standards.

Embrace and support developments in legal technology and systems relevant to the role.
What We’re Looking For

Minimum 10 years’ PQE in housing management and/or property litigation.

Proven ability to lead and develop a team, with experience mentoring junior lawyers.

Track record of business development, including growing a personal practice and supporting firm-wide initiatives.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Commercial awareness with the ability to align legal advice with business objectives.

Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage complex cases.

Flexible, proactive and collaborative approach to working in a team-oriented environment.

Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and comfortable using legal technology tools.
