The Opportunity

Themis Recruit is working with a long-established and highly regarded Norfolk law firm that is looking to appoint an ambitious Litigation Lawyer to join its busy and growing Dispute Resolution team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Solicitor or CILEX Lawyer/Chartered Legal Executive with litigation practice rights to develop their career within a supportive and progressive environment.

You will manage your own caseload of varied civil litigation matters, while also having the opportunity to support senior colleagues on more complex disputes. The role offers genuine responsibility, regular client contact and opportunities to develop your advocacy and litigation skills.

The Role

Your caseload is likely to include a broad range of civil and commercial disputes, including:

  • General civil and commercial litigation
  • Contractual disputes
  • Debt recovery
  • Property litigation, including landlord and tenant matters
  • Boundary and neighbour disputes
  • Professional negligence claims
  • Contentious probate
  • Consumer and business disputes
  • Agricultural disputes

The role would suit a lawyer who enjoys variety and wants to develop a broad litigation practice rather than specialise in a single area.

Why This Role Stands Out

  • Genuine autonomy – manage your own caseload with appropriate support and supervision.
  • Varied litigation work – exposure to a broad range of civil and commercial disputes.
  • Client-facing role – build strong relationships and take ownership of matters.
  • Advocacy opportunities – develop your experience across negotiation and court work.
  • Career progression – join a growing team with opportunities to progress as the department expands.
  • Flexible working – hybrid working with 2–3 days in the office.
  • Established firm – work within a respected Norfolk practice with a strong reputation for client service.

About You

You will ideally:

  • Be a qualified Solicitor or CILEX Lawyer/Chartered Legal Executive with litigation practice rights.
  • Have experience managing a litigation caseload with appropriate supervision.

  • Have excellent organisation and time-management skills.
  • Be comfortable working independently while contributing effectively to a wider team.
  • Take a proactive, practical and solution-focused approach to client matters.
  • Be ambitious and keen to continue developing your litigation career.
