Knowledge Lawyer (Employment, 5+ PQE)

An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Employment lawyer to step into a Knowledge Lawyer / PSL role within a leading, top-tier London practice.

This is a standout position within a large, highly regarded Employment team operating at the forefront of complex, high-profile and strategically significant matters. The team advises both employers and senior executives on cutting-edge issues spanning litigation, regulatory developments and the evolving workplace landscape.

The Opportunity

You will sit at the centre of the Employment practice, working closely with partners and fee earners to drive technical excellence, thought leadership and innovation across the team. This is a visible, strategic role with genuine influence over how the department develops, delivers work and engages with clients.

Key aspects of the role include:

• Shaping and executing the knowledge and innovation strategy for the Employment team
• Producing high-quality thought leadership, client content and external publications
• Supporting business development initiatives, identifying opportunities to leverage legal know-how commercially
• Designing and delivering internal and client training programmes
• Maintaining and developing precedents, know-how and knowledge systems
• Monitoring legal developments and providing horizon scanning and technical insight
• Supporting best practice, risk management and the integration of legal tech and AI tools

This role offers a strong client-facing and strategic dimension, alongside the opportunity to contribute to wider discussions around the development of employment law and policy.

The Candidate

• Circa 5+ PQE Employment lawyer, either an existing Knowledge Lawyer/PSL or a fee earner looking to transition
• Strong technical grounding in contentious and/or non-contentious employment law
• Demonstrable interest in knowledge development, training and thought leadership
• Excellent drafting and communication skills, with attention to detail
• Commercially aware, with an interest in BD and knowledge commercialisation
• Comfortable working with legal technology and innovation tools
• Collaborative, proactive and able to engage effectively with stakeholders at all levels
