The Opportunity

An outstanding opportunity has arisen for a junior Housing Solicitor to join our clients highly regarded Housing team—a firm widely recognised for its commitment to social justice and tenant advocacy.

You will become part of a well-established, nationally respected practice acting on complex and often high-profile housing matters. This role offers the chance to build a genuinely meaningful practice, representing vulnerable clients and making a tangible impact, while developing your technical expertise within a supportive and collaborative environment.


The Role

You will manage a varied and engaging caseload, with exposure to:

  • Housing disrepair claims
  • Homelessness applications and appeals
  • Possession proceedings
  • Housing-related judicial review matters

The team handles work across legal aid, CFA and privately funded matters, offering a breadth of experience rarely found at this level. You will be encouraged to take ownership of your caseload while benefiting from close supervision and structured development.


About You

You will be a qualified solicitor (or equivalent) with up to 4 years’ PQE and a demonstrable interest in housing law. In particular, you will have:

  • Experience (or strong exposure) to housing litigation, ideally including legal aid work
  • A genuine commitment to social justice and access to legal services
  • Strong client care skills and the ability to work with vulnerable individuals
  • The confidence to manage a busy caseload with appropriate supervision
  • A collaborative mindset, with the ability to contribute effectively within a team
