Themis Recruit is working in partnership with a nationally recognised firm with a top-tier Housing Management practice, to appoint a Solicitor into its growing team.
This is a standout opportunity to join one of the firm’s fastest-expanding departments, consistently ranked in The Legal 500 and Chambers and Partners, and regularly appointed to major national and regional frameworks. The team acts for Registered Providers and Local Authorities across the full spectrum of housing management work.
The Opportunity
You will manage a broad and varied caseload on behalf of social housing clients, including:

Possession proceedings (ASB, sub-letting, failed succession, trespass)

Injunction applications against tenants, leaseholders and non-tenants
-
Advisory work on tenancy management issues (rent arrears, succession, assignment, relationship breakdown, mental health)

Equality Act and public law advice

Policy, procedure and tenancy agreement drafting and review
-
Broader litigation and strategic advisory matters

About You

Experience within a Housing Management team, ideally advising Registered Providers or Local Authorities

Strong technical grounding across housing litigation and advisory work

Confidence supervising and supporting junior lawyers

Excellent communication skills, with the ability to build trusted client relationships

Commercial awareness and a clear interest in the social housing sector

Able to manage a varied caseload with autonomy and sound judgement
Advocacy experience would be beneficial but is not essential.
