Our client is a City of London law firm with over 150 years of heritage, recognised by both the Legal 500 and Chambers UK for their excellence in housing and property litigation. With offices in London, Leeds, Birmingham, and Colchester, our client support clients across the UK, including social housing providers, private landlords, care providers, developers, and investment funds. Their Housing Management & Property Litigation team is Tier 1 ranked, acting for over 100 Registered Providers (RPs), local authorities, and private landlords.

Due to continued success, Themis Recruit are looking for an ambitious lawyer with 5+ years PQE to join our clients growing team and take ownership of a diverse caseload spanning housing litigation—including injunctions, possession claims, disrepair—and non-contentious matters such as policy advice.

What You’ll Do:

  • Manage your own caseload efficiently and proactively.

  • Advise clients directly and build strong, trusted relationships.

  • Support partners on complex and high-value matters.

  • Supervise and mentor junior lawyers and paralegals.

  • Stay engaged with the latest developments in housing law.

  • Contribute to business development and client-focused initiatives.

  • Deliver client training sessions and internal knowledge-sharing.

Who You Are:

  • 5+ years post-qualification experience in housing management and property litigation.

  • CILEx lawyers must hold Civil Litigation Practice Rights.

  • Skilled at managing your own files and mentoring junior staff.

  • Strong IT literacy (Word, Excel, Outlook) and case management skills.

  • Commercially aware, proactive, and results-driven.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Resilient, detail-oriented, and able to thrive in a dynamic environment.
