Our client, a leading claimant firm with a reputation for handling housing conditions cases, is expanding its operations in Central Manchester. With a focus on excellence and a proven track record, they are now looking to recruit experienced Housing Disrepair Litigators to join their dynamic team.

As a Housing Disrepair Litigator, you will play a pivotal role in managing and litigating cases related to housing disrepair and Environmental Protection Act (EPA) matters. This is an exciting opportunity to join a firm committed to growth and success in the housing disrepair field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Caseload Management: Manage a litigated caseload involving housing disrepair cases efficiently and effectively.
  • Legal Representation: Provide expert representation for clients in court proceedings and hearings.
  • Client Consultation: Consult with clients to understand their needs, offer legal advice, and keep them informed of case progress.
  • Legal Research: Stay up to date with relevant laws, regulations, and precedents in housing disrepair litigation.
  • Negotiation: Negotiate settlements and agreements to achieve the best possible outcomes for clients.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues and support staff to ensure smooth and effective case handling.
  • Documentation: Ensure accurate, up-to-date case files and documentation are maintained.

Essential Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience: At least 1 year of experience as a Housing Disrepair Litigator, ideally in a high-volume case environment. Determination to grow in this area is highly desirable.
  • Advocacy: Strong oral advocacy and negotiation skills, with a proven track record of successful outcomes.
  • Organizational Skills: Excellent organizational and time-management abilities to handle a busy caseload.
  • Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively with a team and contribute to the overall success of the firm.
  • Communication: Clear and concise communication skills, both written and verbal.
