Our client, one of the leading claimant law firms dealing with Housing Disrepair are opening a satellite office in Liverpool and are thus seeking experienced litigators/solicitors to join their team. The successful candidate will work alongside the firms Senior Associate to build upon the hiring firms stellar reputation.
Working alongside the firms Senior Associate, you will handle your own caseload of pre-and-post litigated files, and help to develop the firms brand in the region.
Requirements:
- All applicants will be considered- qualified solicitor, legal executive, or paralegal. However, the candidate must have experience handling a mixed caseload of housing disrepair files.
- Self-starter and eager to develop an exciting career at one of the most respected firms in the sector.
- Manage a caseload of housing disrepair claims, ensuring all cases are progressed efficiently and effectively.
- Conduct thorough investigations into housing disrepair cases, including reviewing relevant documentation, conducting site visits, and gathering evidence to support the claim.
- Communicate with clients to gather information, provide updates on case progress, and address any concerns or questions.
- Assess the merits of housing disrepair claims, provide legal advice, and guide clients through the litigation process.
- Draft legal documents, including letters of claim, court pleadings, witness statements, and settlement agreements.
- Negotiate settlements with opposing parties and represent clients at mediations, hearings, and trials when necessary.
- Keep abreast of relevant legislation, case law, and industry developments in housing disrepair law.
- Collaborate with other members of the legal team to share knowledge and contribute to the firm’s growth.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date case management records and documentation.
- Adhere to professional standards, ethics, and client confidentiality requirements.
