Court of Protection Solicitor

We are seeking a skilled and ambitious Court of Protection Solicitor to join our dynamic and busy team, servicing clients in London. This is an excellent opportunity for a driven individual to develop their career within a highly regarded and client-focused practice.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deputyship Management: You will work closely with the firm’s Panel Deputy, managing day-to-day Deputy General Management tasks. This includes supporting clients who are victims of serious financial abuse or who have complex financial requirements.
• Court Applications: Handling Court of Protection applications, including Deputyship Appointments, Statutory Wills, Estate Planning, and Trust-related matters.
• Client Engagement: Working with vulnerable individuals and their families to provide high-quality legal advice and practical solutions tailored to their unique circumstances.
• Business Development: Actively participate in marketing, networking, and other business development activities to grow the firm’s Court of Protection work from both existing and prospective clients.

Essential Skills & Experience:

• In-depth Knowledge of Deputy Standards: A thorough understanding of the standards set out for Deputies, with the ability to apply this knowledge in managing Deputyships effectively.
• Court of Protection Expertise: Proven experience in handling complex Court of Protection matters, including financial management and estate planning.
• Proactive and Client-Focused: A solution-oriented mindset with a strong focus on client care and finding practical, tailored solutions to legal issues.
• Networking and Marketing: A willingness to engage in business development to expand the firm’s client base.
