The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Costs Team Leader to play a key role within our clients established and growing costs function. This is an excellent opportunity to join a respected firm and take ownership of a high-performing team, while maintaining hands-on involvement in complex costs work.
You will lead a team of Costs Draftsmen and Debt Recovery Enforcement Officers, ensuring the efficient recovery of costs and the delivery of consistently high standards of client care across our housing disrepair claims.

Key Responsibilities
-
Lead, supervise and performance-manage the Costs Drafting and Debt Recovery teams

Act as the technical referral point for costs-related queries
-
Manage a small personal caseload
-
Prepare and respond to Points of Reply
-
Handle lien, client costs and defendant costs files
-
Oversee cost recovery to ensure matters are progressed efficiently and effectively
-
Support the wider business with ad hoc duties as required
About You
You will be a confident and effective communicator with strong written and verbal skills. Highly organised and detail-focused, you’ll be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and managing competing priorities to tight deadlines.
Essential experience:

Proven supervisory or management experience

Strong working knowledge of Proclaim and Costs Master

Excellent IT skills and attention to detail

Ability to work at pace while maintaining accuracy
Desirable:

Experience in housing disrepair matters
