Mckie Recruit is looking for a Conveyancing Team Leader to run a reduced caseload of Residential and Commercial Property files as well as provide supervision and mentoring to junior fee earners.
Managing your own caseload of conveyancing matters, including sales, purchases and re-mortgaging files from initial instruction to post completion.
Overseeing the department and ensuring all matters are running smoothly.
Providing technical advice and supervision to members of the team.
Ensuring all KPIS and targets are met.
Progressing your caseload in a manner to ensure that clients receive appropriate, professional, timely and pertinent legal advice, with regular contact, whilst managing their expectations.
Ensuring proper control of work in progress, billing and cash collection.
Drafting and preparation of contracts and documents.
Liaising and building relationships with estate agents, mortgage lenders and mortgage brokers.
To undertake self-development and comply with relevant training requirements by the Law Society and in-house training when required.
Undertaking other duties reasonably required by partners or senior management.

 

Requirements

·         Qualified Solicitor or Licensed Conveyancer.
·         5 years’ experience in handling Conveyancing matters from start to finish.
·         Ability to deal with a mixed caseload of freehold and leasehold sales, purchases, mortgages, and transfer of equity both registered and unregistered titles.
·         Excellent organisational skills with impeccable attention to detail.
·         Have proven IT skills and ability to adapt new technology.
·         Excellent communication skills including oral and written presentation skills.
·         The ability to provide a high level of client care.
·         Ability to motivate and supervise a team.
·         Proficient with Proclaim Case Management, although training will be provided.
