Our client, a leading firm specialising in Clinical Negligence, are seeking a Newly Qualified Solicitor to join their esteemed Clinical Negligence team. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to develop their career within a supportive and dynamic environment. The successful candidate will work on a diverse caseload of clinical negligence claims, gaining invaluable experience and contributing to the ongoing success of the firm.
The role:
  • Manage a varied caseload of clinical negligence claims under the supervision of senior solicitors.
  • Conduct thorough investigations into medical malpractice cases, including obtaining and reviewing medical records, instructing experts, and drafting witness statements.
  • Provide clear and compassionate legal advice to clients, ensuring they are informed and supported throughout the process.
  • Prepare legal documents, including letters of claim, pleadings, and court bundles.
  • Attend court hearings, case management conferences, and settlement meetings.
  • Liaise with medical experts, barristers, and other third parties to progress cases efficiently.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records on the firm’s case management system.
  • Contribute to the firm’s business development activities, including writing articles and attending networking events.

Requirements:

  • Qualified solicitor with a strong academic background (minimum 2:1 degree).
  • Completed a training contract with significant exposure to clinical negligence or personal injury law.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities, with a compassionate approach to client care.
  • Highly organised with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work under pressure.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Proficient in using legal research tools and case management software.
