Mckie Recruit are seeking a Solicitor to join our client’s Clinical Negligence Team based in their Leeds office. This is a full-time position with a weekly commitment of 36.25 hours, Monday to Friday. Additionally, they offer the flexibility of hybrid working.

  • working alongside other solicitors, partners, and paralegals
  • having direct communication with clients and third-party professionals
  • managing their own case load
  • dealing with a mix of Complex Clinical Negligence cases
  • using the Firm’s Case Management Systems
  • preparing articles/blogs/legal updates and publishing to social media
  • business development activities

Requirements

  • Qualified Solicitor/Legal Executive (or equivalent)
  • Experience working within Clinical Negligence and serious catastrophic injury is Essential
  • Proven competence in their IT skills (outlook, word, case management and other systems experience)
  • The ability to work as part of a team
  • Good client care skills, providing professional and competent legal advice in accordance with the SRA Code of Conduct
  • Experience of handling own caseload, working to and managing deadlines, alongside the Capability to generate fees in accordance with agreed targets
  • Good writing and drafting skills, with excellent communication and technical ability
  • have excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • have an interest in long-term development/progression in the department
  • have good communication skills, both written and verbal
