An outstanding opportunity has arisen for an experienced Clinical Negligence Solicitor to join a highly regarded specialist team. Working closely with a Partner, you will manage a varied claimant clinical negligence caseload while supporting on complex, high-value and catastrophic injury matters.

This is a role for a technically strong litigator who combines excellent legal judgement with commercial awareness and a genuine commitment to client care.


The Role

You will:

  • Manage your own mixed-value clinical negligence caseload, meeting agreed targets and KPIs

  • Support a Partner on high-value and catastrophic clinical negligence cases

  • Deliver exceptional client service in line with a Client First ethos

  • Supervise, mentor and develop junior colleagues

  • Contribute to strengthening the firm’s market reputation and presence

You will play a key role in ensuring cases are progressed efficiently, strategically and with meticulous attention to detail.


Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain exemplary, paper-lite file management and ensure case management systems are accurate and up to date

  • Draft clear, persuasive and legally effective documentation

  • Proactively negotiate and resolve client matters

  • Plan, prioritise and manage workload to ensure timely progression of cases

  • Delegate effectively, supervise work and provide constructive feedback

  • Conduct performance reviews and support colleague development

  • Maintain thorough working knowledge of CPR, court rules and funding methods relevant to clinical negligence claims

  • Contribute to business development and marketing initiatives in line with the firm’s strategic plan

  • Identify and suggest process improvements to enhance efficiency and client service


About You

Essential:

  • 4+ years’ PQE (minimum) in claimant clinical negligence

  • Strong working knowledge of Personal Injury law

  • Proven experience managing and mentoring junior colleagues

  • Experience conducting performance reviews and appraisals

  • Confident using case management systems

  • Excellent drafting, negotiation and organisational skills

  • Commercial awareness and ability to meet KPIs

  • Strong team player with a collaborative approach

  • Flexible and willing to travel within the UK when required

You will be confident running your own files while also contributing positively to team performance and development.
