Role Purpose
Due to continued success, our client are seeking an experienced solicitor to join their busy Clinical Negligence team. You will thrive in a fast-paced environment where technical expertise, meticulous attention to detail, and a proactive approach are essential.
You will manage a broad caseload of clinical negligence matters at all stages of litigation, from initial instruction through to resolution. Work will range from supporting catastrophic injury claims—including cerebral palsy and brain injury cases—to advising on inquests.
Key Responsibilities
In line with firm policies and procedures, your responsibilities will include:
Legal Skills

Managing a full caseload of clinical negligence matters from inception to conclusion

Handling and assisting with a wide variety of claims, including complex cerebral palsy and brain injury cases

Taking detailed client instructions and assessing legal and medical issues to determine case prospects

Preparing instructions for medical experts and reviewing expert reports

Drafting documents at all stages of the litigation process, including letters of claim, schedules of loss, and witness statements

Technical Knowledge

Previous experience (claimant or defendant) managing a varied clinical negligence caseload, including involvement in cerebral palsy and brain injury cases
