Build a meaningful practice with a firm that’s genuinely growing
I’m working with a well-established, ambitious Legal Aid firm that is continuing to invest heavily in its Care team. They have a strong reputation for representing vulnerable clients and are now looking to bring in a Care Solicitor who wants to develop their advocacy, autonomy, and long-term progression.
Why this opportunity stands out
- Genuine growth: the firm is actively expanding, creating clear headroom for progression
- High-quality work: you’ll handle a varied caseload of parent-side public law children matters
- Real responsibility: full ownership of your files with the support of an experienced, collaborative team
- Purpose-driven: this is a team that takes pride in making a tangible difference to clients at critical points in their lives
The role
You’ll manage your own caseload of Care matters, with a focus on parent representation, including:
- Conducting advocacy in care proceedings
- Drafting statements, case notes, and client correspondence
- Managing Legal Aid applications via CCMS
- Ensuring compliance with LAA requirements and internal quality standards
- Delivering a high standard of client care throughout
What they’re looking for
- Qualified Solicitor (England & Wales)
- Solid experience in Care work, particularly parent cases
- Confident advocate with strong case management skills
- Good working knowledge of Legal Aid processes and CCMS
- Comfortable working towards fee earner targets
The firm
This is a modern, forward-thinking practice with a strong Legal Aid foundation. They’ve built a collaborative culture where people are trusted, supported, and given room to grow. Diversity, inclusion, and high professional standards are genuinely embedded—not just talked about.
