Themis Recruit are looking for an experienced Construction lawyer to join our clients expanding team. This role offers a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong interpersonal skills who wants to progress their career within a supportive, highly regarded team that covers both contentious and non-contentious construction matters.

You’ll work on high-value, complex construction matters for a diverse client base that includes logistics companies, educational institutions, automotive manufacturers, main contractors, and subcontractors.

What You’ll Be Doing
Contentious Work:
-
Advising on adjudications, arbitrations, and litigation in the TCC
-
Handling interim/final payment disputes, professional negligence claims, delays, and defects
-
Providing early-stage advice for distressed projects
Non-Contentious Work:
-
Leading on transactions and drafting construction contracts (including JCT and NEC)

Advising on ancillary agreements and ongoing project support
You’ll work with a broad range of clients including developers, construction professionals, contractors, and subcontractors.
What We’re Looking For

Qualified solicitor with strong academic credentials and solid experience from a City, national or leading regional firm

Strong background in either contentious or non-contentious construction law (or ideally both)

Commercially minded with excellent communication skills

Enthusiastic about business development and the construction industry

A team player, committed to contributing to the success and growth of the practice
