The Role
We are seeking a motivated solicitor with 2–4 years PQE to join our Commercial Litigation / Civil Fraud team. The successful candidate will be involved in high‑value, complex, often multi‑jurisdictional disputes, helping to lead and manage significant cases. You will work alongside partners, senior associates and a growing litigation support team.
Key Responsibilities

Act on both claimant and defendant civil fraud matters: tracing and recovering misappropriated assets; defending allegations of fraud; acting in cases with freezing injunctions, search orders etc.

Lead or assist in commercial litigation including shareholder disputes, breach of directors’ duties, insolvency / bankruptcy related litigation.

Handle cross‑border and multi‑jurisdictional aspects: co‑ordinating with foreign counsel, dealing with extradition, mutual legal assistance, international asset recovery etc.

Manage interlocutory and emergency relief applications: freezing injunctions, search orders, preservation of assets etc.

Drafting of legal documents, pleadings, witness statements, skeleton arguments, advice papers, internal and external correspondence.

Legal research on technical and novel issues.

Client contact: managing expectations, advising strategically, keeping clients informed on status, risks and costs.

Supervision and mentoring more junior team members.

Working under pressure to tight deadlines, often in urgent or crisis situations.
Candidate Profile
Essential Requirements:

Qualified solicitor in England & Wales with approximately 2‑4 years PQE in civil fraud / commercial litigation.

Demonstrable experience handling high complexity, and where possible multi‑jurisdictional cases.

Experience with freezing injunctions, search orders, asset tracing or other interim relief mechanisms.

Strong technical skills: good drafting ability, ability to analyse complex evidence, excellent research skills.

Strong interpersonal skills: confident client contact, clear communication, teamwork.

Able to manage multiple tasks under pressure and meet tight deadlines.

Good commercial awareness, strategic thinking.
Desirable / Plus Points:

Experience in handling regulatory, insolvency, or trust litigation matters.

Experience working with international clients or coordinating cross‑border cases.

Prior exposure to large‑value civil fraud work.

Familiarity with arbitration or alternative dispute resolution.

Foreign languages or prior experience abroad may be an advantage.
